In 2008 Libertas II won the New Zealand Fishing Nationals with an astonishing haul of 17 marlin in five days. She is the top charter boat for the Bay of Islands Swordfish Club, bagging the most fish in the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
Fully specced game fisher
Libertas II is equipped with a fully operational tuna tower, a 120lb Chatfield fighting chair, a huge live bait tank, four tuna tubes and a 13-foot fishing tender. Her fishing tackle is the very best Shimano gear and ranges from light 6kg through to heavyweight 60kg Tiagras.
Her fully enclosed bridge is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and communication systems including radar, sonar, GPS and a fish finder. Twin 1000-horsepower Cat engines give her an effortless cruising speed of 20 knots.
Luxury on-board accommodation
For overnight trips Libertas II comfortably accommodates four guests, with two generous-sized double cabins, each with en suite shower and toilet, and a range of single bunk options.
The whole interior is beautifully designed and finished to an exceptionally high standard. Entertainment options include TV, SKY, DVD and high-end stereo systems throughout.
