Your Libertas charter trip will be tailored for you by our hospitality team and hosted by Libertas II’s experienced skipper and hostess. Together they’ll do everything they can to ensure your trip is comfortable, well-catered and highly enjoyable.
Skipper
Barnaby Newton has more than seven years’ experience with Libertas II and has skippered many of her most successful expeditions. He’s from a family of keen boaties and passionate fishermen and spends as much time as he can on the water. Barnaby is an experienced diver and can be persuaded without too much effort to fetch up a fresh feed of scallops and crayfish.
For trips outside inshore limits, where two skippers are required, Barns will be joined by brother Brodie, an expert fisherman and highly experienced skipper with a long history on Libertas II.
Hostess
Miranda Penistan is cook, stewardess and all-round deckhand. She’s always on board to help keep Libertas II running smoothly, take care of meals and refreshments and lend a hand once the fishing action begins. Miranda has been boating all her life and has more than 10 years’ crewing experience throughout the Great Lakes, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the Pacific Islands.
